About Me

Welcome to Sleepy Owl Studio!

What do I think you should know about me? I’ll start with the basics. I married my best friend (and the cutest guy I ever met) over 30 years ago.  Together we raised 2 smart, funny, talented children. Add a beautiful daughter-in-law, a sweet, handsome son-in-law and the most precious grandbaby ever, and that’s our family.

I work full time, and play with fabric as many hours a day as I can get away with. I’ve sewed for over 40 years (yikes!), and quilted for the past 20. I own a Gammill Vision 2.0 22-10, a recent upgrade from my HQ16, so I’m learning all over again. I also enjoy knitting and love having something more portable than quilting.

Thanks for visiting!

This is a wonderful idea and I know you will have lots of fun with building this blog and meeting new people thru it. Keep up the great job.

Cool blog. I will be checking it regularly, even though I do not have even one iota of the skills you have!

Hey, I am glad to have found your blog. We are pretty close to being neighbors, as I live up in Snohomish. Actually I’m closer to Machias, but most people don’t know where that is; kinda halfway between Lake Stevens and Snohomish. I am a Pharmacy Tech for Bartells, as well as a mother, friend, grandmother, aunt and ex-wife. I love to create, anything, anytime I have the time, which isn’t often enough. Nice to meet you. Fran

Glad to wander onto your blog and know I will enjoy following you as I learn to quilt. I love to feel fabrics and create outfits for my daughters and grand daughters. Now, I’m learning to quilt and love the designing element to using fabrics and colors!
I began 3 blogs to cover my hobbies. One is paper crafting, another is textiles, and the other is a spiritual journey called climbing vertical. I love to write almost as much as sew!
It’s fun to read what others experience in their hobbies, so thanks for sharing a little of your love of textiles! You’ll see me often, I think, because I’m adding you to my Reader!
    Thanks again!
