Double Trouble Progress

I made it past a couple big deadlines last week, so I was back to piecing Double Trouble on Friday afternoon.

By Sunday, I was celebrating:

I considered taking it straight to the frame and loading it for quilting, but I had to admit I didn’t have a good backing choice.  After a little hunting, I found this pretty Riley Blake flannel online and ordered 5 yards of it.

Turns out it’s even prettier in person. Sweet and soft and it washed up beautifully. So I have a date with my longarm this afternoon.

And an iron. Because I’m already planning the next quilt. Or three.

  1. Wow I love this quilt top. I love how the wonky center is balanced by the uniformed outer triangles…and do not get me started on the colour and fabric choices. Really fabulous stuff.

  7. I really enjoy your blog, and absolutely love this quilt. The colors work so well, but are scrappy enough to give it so much interest. Beautiful!
