Catching up (or catching on) ~
I suspect it’s a mom thing, but I always feel like September is the beginning of year. Even with my kids grown (10-year reunion kind of grown), it never changes. Even though there’s no more shopping for school clothes and supplies, sports physicals and endless forms, packable lunch foods or parking passes. It’s still the end of one thing and the beginning of something else.
I think that explains my urge to clean and sort and purge. Organizing and finishing (or letting go of) and moving on. Last week it was two knitting projects frogged and a scarf finished.
This week it’s Lazy Katy and Diagonal Lace socks finished. Next week? I’m down to only one project still on needles, and debating whether to finish it or cast on the next one in my Ravelry queue.
Meanwhile, there has been no quilting, very little sewing and (obviously) even less blogging. I have, however, been making lists. That’s a cue to be afraid.
I know I am.
