11.21 It’s all about the purple

What a great weekend! Friday and Saturday were wonderfully productive, Ashlee is home for the holidays, and today was all about purple.

We spent a good part of the day running errands, but once we were home this afternoon I got to work loading Diana’s quilt top, piecing and loading the backing, and setting the pantograph in place.

After lots of pinning, winding, straightening and smoothing it was ready to quilt:

And a sneak peek at the quilting:

Can you tell I love quilting?

So, what color is the backing? I spent this AM cleaning my sewing room so I can get sewing on Christmas projects. I’ve been a bad girl and have been buying some fabric. (Island Quilter was at the Puyallup Craft Fair!!)

    • Kona cotton Deep Violet. I’m still deciding on whether to use it for the binding. Loved your pincushion!
