W(H)IP Wednesday

It’s Wednesday already! So how did I do?

The Christmas quilt is done except for binding and hanging sleeve.

All the pieces are cut for Bailey’s quilt.

I even finished the binding on the Christmas tree skirt. Which, by the way, was a lot more binding than I expected!

With 2 more blocks finished, I’m still working on the bee blocks. Overall, I’m pretty pleased with what I got done this week. So what next? Finishing the bee blocks is my first priority – the deadline to send them out is next Wednesday (the 15th). This next weekend won’t have a bit of stitching time, so I’m not committing to more than that, although I’m willing to bet I get a bit of time in on Bailey’s quilt.

Just to save my sanity during the next few weeks,  my next W(H)IP Wednesday post won’t be until January 5th. I’ll still be sewing and quilting (and blogging about it), but I know enough to keep the pressure to a minimum. It’s the season of giving myself a break, if nothing else!

11.29 One more project (almost) done ~

The Christmas tree skirt yesterday:

And today:

All quilted and ready for binding. I did a ribbon meander in tonal gold thread - quick, easy, festive, and not all that visible on the fabric as it turns out.

No matter – it’ll be covered in gifts most of the time anyway!
